kenny boy, fastow, and skilling give capitalism a bad name,
but they made interesting architectual choices
for the home office in houston. "the enron series" presents photos
of the center's buildings and art.

1400 smith street - the site of the infamous logo - was designed
by the firm of lloyd jones brewer in 1983.

the crew decided to build a clone across the street, at 1500 louisiana.
also known as "enron center south" or "tower 2,"
the new building was designed by cesar pelli.
slightly smaller, but with interesting design features,
the building was completed earlier this year
and - by all appearances - appears as close to empty as can be.
pelli's design includes an imaginative ring-shaped pedestrian walkway
over smith street.
