psychology 3341:
physiological psychology

fall 2004 - anthony h. risser, ph.d.

This is a course designed to introduce you to brain-behavior relationships and to the clinical and scientific study of these relationships, which is called neuroscience. You will learn basics as to the structure and function of the nervous system and the neurological underpinnings of our sensory, perceptual, and cognitive functions, and of our behavior.

The course will proceed on a weekly basis. Each week you will have work to do in terms of reading lecture material, reading from the textbook, discussing topics in our discussion forum and chatroom, and completing weekly assignments that you will submit to me via e-mail. In addition, there will be one examination. Your participation occurs via the University of Houston WebCT interface.
